ER RN Job Details – Southlake, Texas

• Location: Southlake, TX 76092
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (March 16, 2026 – June 15, 2026)
• Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department (12 beds, 12 rooms)
• Nursing Shift: Day, 3x12-hour shifts per week (07:00 – 19:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Weekend Coverage: 5-6 weekend shifts per 6-week period
• Charting System: Epic
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,680 - $1,770

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience
• Active Registered Nurse license in Texas
• Required certifications: TNCC, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS (AHA preferred; military acceptable)
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Community hospital nursing experience required
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• Ability to provide care for all patient age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department
• Perform triage, assessment, and treatment for emergency conditions including trauma, cardiac, neurological, orthopedic, and behavioral health emergencies
• Administer emergency medications, IVs, blood products, and manage advanced airway and ventilator support
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, perform 12-lead EKGs, and respond to STEMI and stroke alerts
• Document and manage patient care using Epic electronic health records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy
• Maintain infection control, isolation precautions, and ensure patient safety
• Participate in ongoing nursing education and complete required modules
