Job Details – Michigan Nursing Jobs

  • Location: Ann Arbor, MI 48109
  • Healthcare Setting: Level IV NICU (59 beds) at a top regional referral center
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks (March 23, 2026 – June 22, 2026)
  • Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30)
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Estimated Weekly Salary: $2250-$2370/week
  • Employment Type: Travel nursing contract
  • Number of Openings: 4

NICU RN Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of recent NICU Registered Nurse experience; PICU experience required
  • Active Michigan RN license (required at time of submission)
  • Certifications: NRP, BLS, PALS (must be obtained prior to start date)
  • Experience with Epic charting system preferred
  • Trauma Level I nursing experience required
  • At least 2 professional references (one supervisory)
  • Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
  • Ability to attend onsite orientation

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, family-centered nursing care to neonates and infants with complex medical and surgical needs
  • Attend high-risk deliveries and deliver advanced neonatal resuscitation and stabilization
  • Float to PICU as needed for clinical support
  • Perform specialized NICU procedures: IV starts, ECMO, high frequency ventilation, nitric oxide therapy, therapeutic hypothermia
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans
  • Educate and support families throughout hospitalization and discharge planning
  • Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
  • Follow infection control and safety protocols
