Healthcare Job Details

• Location: Columbus, Ohio 43210
• Healthcare Setting: 10 BSH Stroke Unit (Neuro Stepdown/PCU)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (April 6, 2026 – July 6, 2026)
• Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), rotating weekdays, weekends, and holidays
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Floating: Required to float to other units within the healthcare organization as needed

PCU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – compact or Ohio state RN license
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS certification preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly upon contract signing
• Two professional references required (at least one from a supervisor/manager or charge RN)
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred

Travel Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality clinical care to adult patients on a specialized stroke and neuro stepdown unit
• Monitor and manage patients with neurological diagnoses: stroke, craniotomy, traumatic brain injury, and post-neurosurgery care
• Administer and titrate cardiac drips; manage central/PICC/arterial lines; provide wound care
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; administer blood products; follow heparin protocols
• Utilize EPIC for clinical documentation and patient management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and more
• Float to other units within the healthcare organization as needed
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control and isolation precautions
