Job Details

• Location: Utica, NY 13502 (Central New York)
• Assignment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel RN
• Unit: Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) / Cardiac Stepdown / Telemetry
• Shift: 12-hour nights (6:30pm – 7:00am)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Duration: 13 weeks (March 30, 2026 – June 27, 2026)
• Patient Demographics: Adults (18+)
• Unit Size: 64 beds (15 designated Neuro beds)
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2100-$2210/week

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years recent IMCU/PCU/telemetry or progressive care nursing experience (critical care skills preferred)
• Documented travel nursing experience required
• Active NY Registered Nurse (RN) license — NURSYS verification required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications; NIHSS required
• Experience using EPIC EMR (electronic medical record)
• Completed skills checklist matching the Cardiac Stepdown specialty
• Valid driver’s license with address matching demographic information
• Resume/CV documenting required IMCU/PCU and travel experience

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for cardiac, neuro, trauma, respiratory and post-op adult patients
• Monitor and manage patients on telemetry and specialty equipment including temporary pacers, chest tubes, arterial lines, BiPAP, Neptune Vapo, and chronic vents (with RT assistance)
• Float to other units as needed to support patient care (team-oriented travel nurse)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—physicians, respiratory therapists, and ancillary staff—to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EPIC EMR and follow unit protocols
• Adhere to dress code (navy blue scrubs) and unit standards for professionalism
