• End Date: July 6, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night 4x10-hour shifts (23:00 - 07:00) per week
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,620 – $2,760 per week
• Patient Population: Adults (adult surgical cases)
• Unit Size: 14 OR rooms, daily census of 30 cases
• On-site interdisciplinary support: Respiratory, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, and more

Job Requirements (Qualifications)

• Active PA or compact state RN license (required at time of submission) — Pennsylvania nursing jobs, travel RN candidates welcome
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Minimum 3 years of recent Operating Room RN experience in a Level I Trauma Center (trauma OR experience required)
• Trauma Certification required (e.g., TNCC, or equivalent)
• BLS certification required
• NBSTSA or NCCT perioperative certification preferred
• Experience with Cerner EMR charting system preferred
• Previous charge nurse or leadership experience required
• Travel nursing experience required (no first-time travelers)
• Experience in liver and kidney transplant procedures preferred; experience with trauma, neurosurgery, vascular, and orthopedic cases a plus
• Ability to scrub and circulate preferred (scrub nurse / OR circulator experience)
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Must be able to float to GI unit or Center One Surgery Center as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care to adult patients undergoing a wide range of surgical procedures, including trauma, transplant, neurology, vascular, and orthopedic surgeries
• Scrub and circulate for complex surgical cases as needed; function as experienced scrub nurse and OR circulator
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a high-acuity, Level I Trauma Center
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner EMR and follow perioperative documentation standards
• Float to GI or Center One Surgery Center as required to support surgical services across sites
• Participate in a 6-week schedule, including (2) weekend night shifts and (1) summer & (1) winter holiday call shift
• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, patient safety protocols, and regulatory compliance requirements
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking, communication, and leadership skills in a high-acuity surgical environment
