Job Requirements

  • Active RN license in Pennsylvania or compact state license acceptable
  • Minimum 1 year of recent neonatal nursing experience in a Level III or IV NICU
  • NRP certification required (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • BLS certification from AHA
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and neonatal critical care skills
  • Excellent communication, family-centered care, and teamwork abilities

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, family-centered neonatal nursing care in a Level IV NICU
  • Monitor and assess neonates for changes in condition and intervene promptly
  • Administer medications, perform NICU procedures, and operate specialized neonatal equipment
  • Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, lactation consultants, and the interdisciplinary care team
  • Educate and support parents and families throughout the NICU stay
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow hospital protocols for neonatal care
