- Location: Louisville, Kentucky (40207) — Louisville, KY telemetry nurse opportunity
- Setting: Telemetry Unit (2E*NWC) — cardiac monitoring / acute care telemetry
- Employment Type: Travel Contract — Travel RN (Telemetry)
- Start Date: March 15, 2026
- End Date: June 13, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night Shift — 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM; every other weekend (Night Telemetry RN)
- Hours per Week: 36 (3x12 hour shifts)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1930-$2030/week
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky at time of submission — Kentucky RN license required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (current)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Minimum of 2 years acute inpatient RN experience; telemetry experience preferred — telemetry nurse / cardiac monitoring experience
- Experience with Epic electronic medical records (Epic EMR documentation)
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN)
- Strong communication skills in English (read, write, speak) — team collaboration and patient education
Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and reassessments per policy and as warranted by patient condition — acute care telemetry assessments
- Monitor cardiac telemetry, recognize dysrhythmias, and escalate concerns to the interdisciplinary team
- Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Document patient care and responses to clinical interventions accurately in Epic EMR
- Provide patient and family education throughout the hospital stay and at discharge — discharge teaching and care coordination
- Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel as appropriate while maintaining patient safety
- Mentor and precept new staff, fostering teamwork and a positive work environment — preceptor role for new telemetry nurses
- Participate in quality, safety, and service process improvement initiatives focused on telemetry and acute care outcomes
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies
