  • Shifts: Variable day/night schedule (7a-7p / 7p-7a), 12-hour rotating shifts; every other weekend, holidays, and 2 on-call shifts per 4 weeks
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Positions Available: 3 travel ICU RN positions
  • Setting: Level 2 ICU (critical care nursing)
  • Estimated Weekly Salary: $2020-$2130/week

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • Minimum 1 year of ICU / critical care nursing experience required
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA/RQI only)
  • NIHSS certification required
  • Basic Coronary Care certification (within 6 months of hire)
  • CPI certification (within 90 days of hire)
  • Ability to handle confidential patient information with discretion
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Computer literacy; experience with Microsoft Office and EMR systems preferred
  • Ability to provide age-appropriate care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
  • Preferred: Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) certification and TNCC within 2 years of hire

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to critically ill patients in a Level 2 ICU as an ICU RN / critical care nurse
  • Perform thorough assessments, develop individualized care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes for pediatric through geriatric patients
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
  • Demonstrate professionalism, effective communication, and a commitment to a healing environment
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) and adhere to ICU documentation standards
  • Participate in on-call shifts, holiday, and weekend rotations as scheduled
  • Model teamwork, uphold patient safety, and maintain patient dignity at all times
