- End Date: July 11, 2026
- Duration: 15 weeks
- Shifts: Variable day/night schedule (7a-7p / 7p-7a), 12-hour rotating shifts; every other weekend, holidays, and 2 on-call shifts per 4 weeks
- Hours per Week: 36
- Positions Available: 3 travel ICU RN positions
- Setting: Level 2 ICU (critical care nursing)
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2020-$2130/week
Qualifications & Requirements
- Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Minimum 1 year of ICU / critical care nursing experience required
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA/RQI only)
- NIHSS certification required
- Basic Coronary Care certification (within 6 months of hire)
- CPI certification (within 90 days of hire)
- Ability to handle confidential patient information with discretion
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Computer literacy; experience with Microsoft Office and EMR systems preferred
- Ability to provide age-appropriate care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Preferred: Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) certification and TNCC within 2 years of hire
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to critically ill patients in a Level 2 ICU as an ICU RN / critical care nurse
- Perform thorough assessments, develop individualized care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes for pediatric through geriatric patients
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Demonstrate professionalism, effective communication, and a commitment to a healing environment
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) and adhere to ICU documentation standards
- Participate in on-call shifts, holiday, and weekend rotations as scheduled
- Model teamwork, uphold patient safety, and maintain patient dignity at all times
