• Location: Columbus, OH 43203 — Ohio nursing job / Columbus travel nursing
• Setting: Surgical Musculoskeletal Unit (27 beds; Ortho Surg / MSK Infections / Ortho Trauma)
• Shifts: 3x12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM), 36 hours/week
• Patient Ratio: 1:4–5
• Weekend Coverage: Weekdays and some weekends required
• On-Call: No call required
• Floating: Required within units of equivalent or lower acuity

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg Tele RN or Telemetry RN experience, preferably with orthopedic or post-surgical patients
• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of submission) — Ohio nursing jobs applicants encouraged
• Graduated from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (preferred)
• EPIC charting experience (required)
• IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and dysrhythmia recognition skills required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred but not required
• Ability to provide two professional references (one from a manager/director or formal leader)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients with musculoskeletal infections, orthopedic trauma, and post-operative needs (Med/Surg and Ortho Telemetry)
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to rapid response/code situations as a Telemetry RN
• Initiate and manage peripheral IV lines, wound VACs, drains, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV team, physical therapy (PT), respiratory therapy (RT), pharmacy, and social services to support patient-centered care
• Float to units of similar or lower acuity as needed to support staffing
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation using EPIC and follow unit policies/protocols
• Participate in orientation, competency validation, and ongoing training as required for the travel assignment
