Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse — Travel Nurse opportunity in Atlanta, GA (30342). 13-week travel contract for an experienced perioperative nurse with an active RN license and 2+ years of OR experience. Join a dynamic surgical team in a state-of-the-art facility providing perioperative and urology surgery care.
Job Details
- Location: Atlanta, GA 30342 — Atlanta travel nurse, Georgia nursing jobs
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 8-hour days (Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm)
- Hours: 40 hours per week (Guaranteed)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,690–$1,780/week
- Employment Type: Travel Contract / Travel RN
- Unit: Perioperative Nursing – Urology Surgery (Operating Room, Surgical RN, OR RN)
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent perioperative nursing or Operating Room (OR) specialty experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
- Experience in urology surgery or similar surgical specialties preferred
- Willingness to travel required; no local candidates within 50 miles
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, effective, and compassionate perioperative care to surgical patients as a perioperative nurse / OR RN
- Assist with surgical procedures, ensuring proper sterile technique and equipment readiness
- Monitor patient status and respond to changes during surgery; coordinate with surgical team
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently in medical records
- Participate in pre-op and post-op patient assessments and perioperative patient education
