• Shift: 12-hour nights (Telemetry RN), rotating weekends and holidays
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 3-4 patients per nurse (Cardiac Stepdown staffing)
• EMR / Charting System: EPIC EMR
• Medication System: Pyxis (preferred experience)
• Dress Code: Scrubs, any color
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2130 - $2250 per week

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — willing to wait for license if needed (compact/State-specific acceptable per facility policy)
• Minimum 1 year recent experience in a stepdown, intermediate care, telemetry, or similar acute care setting (Cardiac Stepdown RN / Telemetry RN experience)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Proficiency in reading cardiac telemetry and monitoring
• Skill managing chest tubes, trachs, NG tubes, PICC and central lines
• Comfortable caring for patients with complex medical and cardiac conditions (CHF, COPD, arrhythmias, post-ablation/cath lab patients)
• Experience with EPIC EMR and Pyxis medication dispensing preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive bedside nursing care as a Cardiac Stepdown RN to patients with cardiac, pulmonary, renal, endocrine, infectious, and neurologic needs
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, identify arrhythmias, and intervene per ACLS and facility protocols
• Manage chest tubes, tracheostomies, NG tubes, PICC/central lines, and care for dialysis and post-procedure (ablation/cath lab) patients
• Administer medications and treatments using EPIC EMR and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (MDs, cardiology, respiratory therapy, case management) to deliver patient-centered care
• Float to ICU or General Medicine floors as needed based on experience and unit requirements
• Participate in scheduled holiday and weekend rotations
• Complete a comprehensive orientation program (1 day with education team, 1 day on the floor; total orientation duration: 12 hours)
