Job Requirements / Qualifications

Active Illinois RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience as a medical-surgical nurse
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification
Ability to pass a cardiac dysrhythmia exam (dysrhythmia competency) — only two attempts allowed

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care on Medical Unit 4 as a Med/Surg RN
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for medical-surgical patients
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, therapists, social work) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Monitor patient conditions, recognize and report changes promptly
Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital protocols and EMR standards
Provide compassionate support and education to patients and families
