- Setting: Level 1 Trauma / Level I Trauma Center; 18-bed Operating Room
- Assignment Type: Travel Nurse — Operating Room / Perioperative Nurse
- Start Date: April 20, 2026
- End Date: July 20, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Nights — 3x12-hour (18:30 - 07:00); variable shifts may include days/evenings, 8s, 10s, or 12s
- Hours per Week: 36
- Call: Required (M-F 21:00-06:30; Sat/Sun 06:30-19:00 & 19:00-06:30); holiday/weekend coverage as needed
- Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
- Procedures per Day: 45-50 (high-volume surgical OR / surgical RN environment)
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN / perioperative nursing experience
- Experience in Level 1 Trauma Centers required (Level I Trauma experience preferred)
- Active RN license (compact license accepted or Ohio RN license in hand at submission)
- Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- EPIC charting experience required (EPIC experience preferred)
- NIHSS certification preferred
- Two professional references (at least one from a manager/director or formal leader)
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care across a wide range of surgical procedures including General, Robotic, Laparoscopic, Trauma, Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spinal, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastics, Burns, Urology, GYN, and Transplant surgeries
- Circulate and assist in Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spine, and General Surgery cases as an experienced OR RN / surgical RN
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the multidisciplinary surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records using EPIC; ensure compliance with documentation standards
- Float to different units within the organization as needed and support perioperative team needs
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide weekend/holiday coverage as required
