Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (March 23, 2026 – June 22, 2026)
• Setting: Operating Room / Perioperative department
• Shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM, 10-hour days
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• On-Call: 5–6 call shifts per month (weekends for call only)
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel OR RN
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2300–$2420

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois (required)
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 3 years of circulating experience in the Operating Room (perioperative RN experience)
• Proficiency in orthopedic procedures — total joints, hip fractures, arthroscopy, ORIFs, shoulder scopes/replacements
• Experience with general surgery, neuro, vascular, gynecology, and urology cases
• Current skills checklist (within 1 year) relevant to Operating Room specialty
• Two supervisory references with dates of employment and complete work history documentation
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Mattoon, IL (travel nurse requirement)

Responsibilities

• Provide competent, compassionate perioperative nursing care to surgical patients as an Operating Room nurse and circulating RN
• Circulate and assist during a wide range of surgical procedures including ortho, neuro, vascular, gyn, and urology
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical techs, and multidisciplinary teams to maintain a safe, patient-focused environment
• Follow established standards of practice, hospital policies, and perioperative safety protocols
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled and respond professionally during call shifts
• Demonstrate excellent communication, teamwork, and patient/family-centered customer service skills
