Job Details
- Location: Baltimore, Maryland (Downtown / 21201)
- Position: Radiology Cardiac Monitor Tech / Cardiac Monitoring Technician / Telemetry Technician
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (Travel Contract)
- Start Dates: Multiple: 03/30/26, 04/13/26, 04/27/26
- Shifts: Nights (19:00 – 07:30) – 3x12 or 4x12 preferred; 8-hour shifts may be considered
- Hours per Week: 36–48
- Number of Openings: 19
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
- Holiday Coverage: As scheduled
- Employment Type: Travel healthcare job / contract
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,180–$1,270
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year recent experience as a Cardiac Monitor Tech, Telemetry Tech, or similar cardiac monitoring role
- Active Maryland license or Compact State license (as applicable)
- BLS (AHA) current
- At least one cardiac monitoring certification: CCI CRAT or NTA (Cardiac Rhythm Analysis)
- Experience with Epic electronic health record/charting required
- Comfortable floating to multiple specialties and sister facilities where cardiac monitoring is in place
- Ability to work every other weekend and scheduled holidays
- Two professional references from recent employers (one supervisor/manager and one charge RN acceptable)
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (first-time travel candidates welcome)
Key Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms for patients across multiple specialty units (non-centralized/bedside monitoring)
- Set up, calibrate, and maintain cardiac monitoring equipment; proper lead placement and alarm troubleshooting
- Identify and promptly communicate rhythm changes and critical findings to nursing and physician teams
- Document rhythm strips, observations, and interventions accurately in the patient chart (Epic)
- Perform routine equipment maintenance (cleaning, battery changes, performance checks)
- Adhere to isolation precautions, PPE protocols, and hospital infection control policies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including unit nurses, physicians, interpretation services, and unit clerks
- Float to various hospital units as needed to support clinical monitoring coverage
