• Assignment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel RN (13 weeks)
• Setting: Operating Room (CVOR) — cardiothoracic & open heart service line
• Start Date: April 6, 2026
• End Date: July 6, 2026
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (8-hour days); 40 hours/week
• On-Call: Required after 3 PM and on weekends
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2,200 - $2,310 per week

Required Qualifications (CVOR RN / Travel Nurse)

• Active RN license (Texas or Compact RN license accepted)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year recent CVOR RN experience; experience in open heart and cardiothoracic cases required
• Familiarity with standard OR equipment and Meditech EMR preferred
• Dependable, flexible, and able to participate in on-call rotation

Preferred / Additional Skills

• Previous travel nurse experience (CVOR travel RN or OR travel nurse)
• Experience with CABG, valve replacements, ECMO, Impella, EVH
• Strong teamwork and communication skills in high-acuity surgical settings

Responsibilities — Cardiovascular Operating Room RN

• Provide direct perioperative patient care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room, maintaining a sterile and safe environment
• Assist with cardiothoracic procedures including CABG (with/without EVH), valve replacements, pericardial windows, Impella placement, and ECMO cases
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary surgical team of RNs, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs
• Float to other OR service lines as needed (Trauma, General, Gyn, Uro, Ortho, Neuro, Plastics)
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend coverage
• Document patient care and operative details accurately in Meditech EMR
