Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (cardiac telemetry required)
• Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Experience with cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Cerner or Epic electronic charting experience preferred (EMR / electronic medical record)
• COVID-19 vaccination required (no exemptions); Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Float pool experience preferred; first-time travel nurses with 2–3 years’ experience are welcome

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in medical, surgical, and observation units as a Med/Surg Telemetry nurse
• Float between units as needed during 12-hour night shifts as part of the Float Pool team
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, recognize dysrhythmias, and intervene per protocol
• Administer and titrate IV insulin protocols and continuous infusions including Cardizem and Amiodarone drips
• Perform patient assessments, medication administration, and coordinate plan of care with interdisciplinary team
• Document patient care accurately in Cerner or Epic (preferred) and maintain electronic medical record compliance
• Relieve Avasure office staff for breaks and meals when scheduled
• Work every other weekend as part of staffing rotation; maintain a typical night shift patient ratio of 1:5
