• Shift: 4 x 9-hour days per week; call rotations and weekends as needed
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,260 - $1,350/week

Required Qualifications

• Current OR Tech / Surgical Scrub Tech or Surgical Technologist certification required
• BLS certification (AHA or RQI) required
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as an OR Tech or Surgical Technologist
• Able to collaborate effectively with surgeons, nursing staff, and ancillary teams
• Strong knowledge of aseptic technique, sterile field maintenance, and AORN standards

Key Responsibilities

• Participate as a team member in the planning and implementation of patient care in the operating room
• Clean, sterilize, and prepare instruments and instrument sets according to preference lists and patient history
• Select and organize equipment and supplies for a wide variety of surgical procedures
• Maintain a sterile field and adhere to AORN and facility standards at all times
• Assist with surgical hand scrubbing, gowning, gloving, and draping of patients
• Handle, set up, and operate sophisticated surgical instruments and devices
• Follow protocols for counts, medication labeling, and initiate corrective measures as needed
• Assess the surgical environment for safety, cleanliness, and compliance with infection control policies
• Serve as a preceptor and mentor to new employees and assist with orientation when assigned
