• Shift: 12-hour nights (18:45 - 06:15), 3 shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1460-$1540
• Charting: EPIC (electronic medical record)
• Parking: Free in any unrestricted space
• Float: May float to nearby hospitals within 20 miles as needed

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the U.S. (pending license accepted)
• Minimum 18 months of recent Labor & Delivery experience (2 years preferred) — L&D RN/OB nurse experience
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications (required at time of submission)
• EFM (electronic fetal monitoring) certification preferred
• Experience with maternal/fetal monitoring, immediate heart monitoring, nursery transition, and postpartum care preferred
• Must be nicotine-free (negative nicotine/cotinine drug screen required)
• Ability to complete time-sensitive onboarding modules prior to start
• Willingness to float within scope to other local hospitals as needed
• First-time travel nurses welcome — excellent travel nurse opportunity for new and experienced L&D RNs

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a busy Labor & Delivery unit
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, including continuous fetal heart monitoring and high-risk antepartum care
• Assist with triage of obstetrical patients and respond to OB emergencies
• Support and recover patients post C-section and assist with high-risk deliveries
• Perform sterile vaginal exams, administer medications (including magnesium sulfate, insulin drips, antihypertensives), and maintain central lines as indicated
• Utilize intrauterine pressure catheters (IUPC) and follow isolation/PPE protocols
• Document patient care accurately and timely using EPIC electronic charting
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (OB/GYN, neonatology, anesthesia) in a teaching hospital environment
• Float to other units or facilities within scope as needed to support local hospitals
