• Location: Ithaca, NY 14850 — New York travel nursing job, Finger Lakes area
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,500–$2,630/week
• Assignment Type: Travel (13-week travel assignment)
• Unit: Cardiac Stepdown / Progressive Care / Cardiac Services (CMC)
• Start Date: March 16, 2026
• End Date: June 15, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 10-hour day shifts (4 shifts per week)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Technologies: Epic EMR (experience with Epic preferred)

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — New York State or RN compact license accepted
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Cardiac Stepdown, Cardiac Telemetry, Progressive Care, or Cardiac Cath Lab
• BLS certification required
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, cardiac monitoring, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication, patient education, and teamwork abilities

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac patients in the Cardiac Stepdown/Telemetry unit
• Continuous cardiac monitoring and assessment; recognize and respond to changes in condition
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and assist with cardiac procedures and post-procedure care
• Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient care and assessments using Epic EMR
• Educate patients and families on cardiac diagnosis, treatments, and recovery plans
