- Position: ICU Registered Nurse (ICU RN) / Critical Care Nurse
- Setting: Combined Medical, Surgical, and Cardiac ICU at a Level I trauma center
- Facility Size: 202 beds; ICU Unit: 20 beds
- Start Date: April 6, 2026
- End Date: July 6, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (primarily nights)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:2
- Charting System: Cerner (Cerner EMR experience preferred)
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,110–$2,220
Top Qualifications – ICU RN / Travel RN
- Active RN license in Delaware or a valid multistate compact RN license
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience (medical, surgical, or cardiac critical care)
- At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment preferred
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS; NIHSS preferred
- Clinical skills: ventilator management, arterial lines, CVP monitoring, Swan-Ganz catheter care, central line management
- Experience with Cerner charting system preferred
ICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult patients in a combined medical, surgical, and cardiac ICU setting
- Manage complex conditions such as respiratory failure, COPD exacerbations, overdoses, cardiac arrest, stroke, DKA, seizures, and post-op cardiac cases
- Operate and monitor advanced life support equipment and ventilators
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including physicians, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists—to develop and implement patient care plans
- Float to PACU as needed in rotation with permanent staff
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation using Cerner and adhere to unit protocols and critical care standards
