  • Charting System: MEDITECH experience preferred
  • Scrubs: Provided

Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • Active RN license (compact license accepted where applicable)
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2–3 years of recent Operating Room RN experience or perioperative nursing
  • Experience across a wide range of surgical services (excluding major pediatrics and transplants)
  • Proficiency in most OR services; scrubbing experience preferred but not required — comfortable circulating or assisting
  • Ability to respond to call within 30 minutes
  • Reliable attendance and flexibility to meet unit needs in a fast-paced OR environment
  • Must live at least 75 miles from the facility (per traveler’s driver’s license) — travel nurse distance requirement

Key Responsibilities (Operating Room / Perioperative Nurse)

  • Circulate and assist in a variety of surgical procedures as a perioperative/operating room nurse
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical techs, and perioperative staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Provide safe patient care throughout the perioperative process and uphold surgical safety protocols
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation using MEDITECH and facility charting standards
  • Participate in scheduled weekend and holiday rotations as required
  • Respond to on-call needs as required by competency and schedule (circulating or scrub role based on assignment)
  • Demonstrate adaptability, strong clinical judgment, and teamwork in a high-volume operating room setting
