• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg or Telemetry RN experience (required)
• Clinical experience with cardiac medications and drips (e.g., Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitroglycerin)
• Progressive Care / Step-Down or ICU experience preferred (exposure to Levophed, Nicardipine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Neosynephrine, Dobutamine)
• Current BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS required. TNCC required only if ICU candidate.
• Ability and willingness to float across Med/Surg, Telemetry, Progressive Care, and Step-Down units
• Nicotine-free facility (policy requirement)
• New graduates not accepted — must have prior clinical RN experience

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to diverse adult patient populations on Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Step-Down units
• Administer and monitor medications and cardiac drips, including critical care infusions
• Assess patients, prioritize care, and respond to changes in condition in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapists, case management) to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Float to different units as needed based on hospital census and individual skillset
• Accurately document patient care using Altera Sunrise EMR
• Participate in orientation, unit-specific training, and ongoing competency validation
• Adhere to facility policies, attendance, and holiday staffing requirements
