Job Description

The unit cares for patients with:

• STEMI/NSTEMI
• Chest Pain rule out
• Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
• Noninvasive Ventilation
• Cardiothoracic surgery after ICU
• Administration of antiarrhythmic IV medications
• Peripheral vascular compromise

Requirements

• Experience: At least 1 year of experience required
• Cardiac Experience: Must have cardiac experience (not just ICU)
• Flexibility: No block scheduling; flexibility required
• Recent Traveler Experience: Highly preferred

• Work History
• Skills Checklist (Stepdown/PCU Checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty)
• 2 Supervisory Reference Forms (taken within the last two years)
• Licensure & Certifications: Oklahoma State License or compact, BLS (AHA), NIH certification
• Candidates' Permanent Address (local candidates considered at a reduced rate)

Additional Information

• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Unit Size: 33 bed cardiovascular care unit
• Orientation:

  • Nursing Travelers start orientation on Thursdays
  • Expect about 6 hours of modules to complete prior to start
  • Compensation of $250 for completing modules before the start date
