• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Stepdown / Telemetry (Travel Nursing)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Unit/Setting: Cardiac Stepdown Unit / Progressive Care Unit (20 private rooms)
• Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Start Date: March 30, 2026
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1950-$2060/week
• Patient Ratio: Typically 4:1, may be up to 5:1 depending on staffing
• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients (cardiac, pulmonary, neuro, GI, post-surgical)
• Weekend Coverage: Required

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States
• Minimum 1 year recent clinical experience in stepdown/PCU, telemetry, or similar acute care setting
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
• Experience managing critical drips (e.g., Amiodarone, Esmolol, Insulin, Lasix, Cardizem, Nitroglycerin)
• Strong cardiac monitoring/telemetry skills and experience with post-surgical and pulmonary care
• Travel nurse requirement: must live more than 50 miles from the facility

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to stepdown/PCU patients with cardiac, pulmonary, neuro, GI, and post-surgical diagnoses
• Monitor and manage patients on telemetry and critical drips; titrate medications per protocol
• Assess patient condition, respond to acute changes, and escalate to multidisciplinary teams as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary services, including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Accurate and timely documentation of patient care, orders, and progress in the medical record
• Participate in unit orientation, required facility training modules, and float to similar units when needed
