- Position Type: Travel Nurse — Registered Nurse (RN), Med/Surg Telemetry
- Setting: Acute Care Hospital (acute care RN job)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (March 30, 2026 – June 29, 2026)
- Shift: Night Shift — 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1570–$1650/week
- Patient Ratio: 1:5 (typical Med/Surg Tele RN ratio)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- On-Call: Rare; if required, for the first 4 hours
- Floating: May float within scope to similar units as needed
- Charting: Epic (Epic experience required)
- Scrub Color: Royal Blue
- Parking: Free parking in downtown lots and garages
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required (Med Surg Tele RN, Telemetry RN)
- Active South Carolina RN license or Compact RN license (must be active prior to start)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS certification preferred (stroke care experience a plus)
- Epic electronic health record experience required

- Ability to work every other weekend and float as needed within scope
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage dysrhythmias, and provide continuous telemetry monitoring (cardiac telemetry)
- Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and provide wound and post-surgical care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV team, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, and pharmacy
- Use Epic for documentation, care coordination, and handoffs
- Participate in rapid response and code teams as needed
- Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up resources
- Maintain infection control practices and isolation precautions in accordance with hospital policies
