Overview
Join a JCAHO-accredited health center serving the culturally rich community of Tuba City, AZ (Zip: 86045). This travel nursing opportunity is for an ICU Registered Nurse (Critical Care Nurse) in a 5-bed Intensive Care Unit with opportunities to float to Emergency Department (ED), Med/Surg, or Pediatrics as needed. Assignment Details
- Location: Tuba City, Arizona (Zip: 86045) — Arizona travel nursing / Tuba City nursing jobs
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
- Hours per Week: 40 (Guaranteed 36 hours/week)
- Shift: All shifts available; 10-hour shifts
- ICU Setting: 5-bed Intensive Care Unit (critical care nurse responsibilities; may float to ED, Med/Surg, Pediatrics)
- Housing: Shared contractor housing provided (no pets or family allowed)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,370–$2,500 per week (based on experience and shift)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of prior ICU experience as an ICU Registered Nurse or Critical Care Nurse
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
- Current, valid, unrestricted RN license to practice in any U.S. state, Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory (compact license accepted where applicable)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) — American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) — American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) — AHA (to be completed within 6 months of hire)
- Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) certification (to be completed within 6 months of hire)
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (to be completed within 6 months of hire)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU (critical care nursing duties)
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on physicians' orders, standards of care, and hospital policies
- Monitor hemodynamics, administer IV medications, manage ventilators, and perform other ICU-level interventions
- Float to ED, Med/Surg, or Pediatrics as needed based on unit census and staffing
- Assist with after-hours recovery of post-op general surgery, pediatric, and OB patients
- Work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support patient and family-centered care
