- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,960–$2,070 per week
Required Qualifications
- Active New York State RN licensure required (compact license not accepted unless NY endorsement)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or RQI only)
- NIHSS certification
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Med/Surg / medical-surgical environment (acute care preferred)
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to medical-surgical patients using nursing theory, clinical skills, and clear communication
- Assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and coordinate with the interdisciplinary care team
- Provide direct patient care for adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations admitted for medical conditions in an acute care hospital
- Administer medications, perform clinical interventions, and monitor patient responses according to hospital policies
- Educate patients and families on discharge planning, self-care, medication management, and lifestyle modifications to support recovery
- Promote patient comfort, provide emotional support, and advocate for patient safety and rights
- Delegate tasks appropriately, ensure infection prevention strategies are followed, and maintain documentation accuracy
- Engage in ongoing professional development, self-evaluation, and quality improvement activities to enhance nursing practice
