• Shift: Full-time, 3x12 hour rotating shifts (Day or Night as scheduled); includes every other weekend, holidays, and 2 on-call shifts per 4 weeks
• Location: Geneva, NY 14456 — Finger Lakes area (New York travel nursing job)
• Employment Type: Travel, On-Site (hospital / acute care setting)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,960–$2,070 per week

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN licensure required (compact license not accepted unless NY endorsement)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or RQI only)
• NIHSS certification
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Med/Surg / medical-surgical environment (acute care preferred)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to medical-surgical patients using nursing theory, clinical skills, and clear communication
• Assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and coordinate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Provide direct patient care for adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations admitted for medical conditions in an acute care hospital
• Administer medications, perform clinical interventions, and monitor patient responses according to hospital policies
• Educate patients and families on discharge planning, self-care, medication management, and lifestyle modifications to support recovery
• Promote patient comfort, provide emotional support, and advocate for patient safety and rights
• Delegate tasks appropriately, ensure infection prevention strategies are followed, and maintain documentation accuracy
• Engage in ongoing professional development, self-evaluation, and quality improvement activities to enhance nursing practice
