Job Details

• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 3x12's, 7 PM - 7:30 AM (36 hours per week)
• Floating Requirement: Traveler will be required to float to different units within the OSU organization as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience Required:

  • 2 years of Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience
• Certifications Required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
• Skills Required:

  • IV start
  • L&D experience
  • Epic experience
• Preferred: Previous travel experience

Additional Information

Certifications and Competencies

• ACLS, BLS, PALS: Required for specific units; travelers can renew at the facility.
• NIH Stroke Certification: Required for ER and all Critical Care RNs.
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Exam: Required within 1 year of start for all RNs.
• Competency Exams: Unit-specific competency exams required.

Health Documents

• Physical Exam: Required within a year of start.
• Vaccinations:

  • Tdap
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray
  • MMR (2 vaccines or positive titer)
  • Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
  • Hepatitis B (titer or 3-vaccine series)
  • Flu vaccine or declination during flu season
• Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen required within 3 months of start.

Background Check

• Criminal Background Check: 7-year check required within 1 year of start.
• Fingerprinting: Required for all candidates.

References

• Professional References: 2 required, including at least 1 from a manager or director.
