- Job Title: Travel Radiation Therapist / Radiation Oncology Therapist
- Assignment Type: Travel (13-week contract)
- Location: Rockford, IL 61104 — Northern Illinois / Chicago area access
- Setting: Hospital – Radiation Oncology Clinic (two treatment units)
- Start Date: April 6, 2026
- End Date: July 4, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day shifts, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:30pm (8-hour shifts, no weekends or call)
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Patient Volume: 64–68 patients per day across two linear accelerators
Qualifications & Certifications
- Valid Radiation Therapist certification (ARRT(RT) preferred) or state therapeutic radiography license
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist in a mid- to large-sized hospital or cancer center
- Experience operating linear accelerators — Varian TrueBeam and Varian EDGE preferred
- Familiarity with ARIA record-and-verify system (ARIA v18.1 upgrade experience is a plus)
- Strong ability to multitask, work independently, and perform in a fast-paced radiation oncology environment
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver accurate radiation therapy treatments to oncology patients per physician orders and established protocols
- Operate and maintain advanced radiation therapy equipment, including two linear accelerators (Varian TrueBeam/EDGE)
- Utilize ARIA record and verify system for precise patient documentation and treatment verification
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, nurses, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality patient care
- Maintain a safe, patient-centered environment and adhere to radiation safety protocols
- Adapt to workflow changes and assist with the ARIA v18.1 upgrade and related workflows
