Travel CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-week assignment in Greenville, NC supporting cardiac, vascular and thoracic cases at a modern 7-suite facility.

• Shift: 10-hour day shifts (0700-1700 or 0900-1900)
• Call: Call required, including weekend call
• Unit: Operating Room (CVOR), 7 CVOR suites
• Staffing Ratio: 1:1 RN-to-patient
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel RN

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina or Compact State (North Carolina RN license accepted)
• AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent CVOR or cardiovascular OR experience
• Ability to take call, including weekends
• Compliance with 80-mile radius rule
• Experience with cardiac, vascular, or thoracic surgical cases preferred

Responsibilities

• Serve as circulating CVOR nurse, managing overall perioperative nursing care and maintaining a safe, patient-centered environment
• Prepare the operating room, set up sterile fields, and manage surgical equipment for cardiac and vascular procedures
• Assist with cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgeries including CABG, valve repairs, TAVR, LVAD placement, aneurysm repairs, stenting, thoracotomies, and robotic-assisted procedures
• Perform sponge and instrument counts with the surgical team to prevent retained foreign objects
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, scrub techs, anesthesia, and OR staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Provide perioperative care for complex surgical cases and support rapid clinical decision-making in the CVOR
