- Hours: 40 hours per week; typically 8-hour shifts with occasional weekend rotations (6-hour weekend shifts)
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week

Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with pediatric patients (clinical pediatric OT experience preferred)
- Current OTR credential from NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy)
- Active Maine Occupational Therapy License or ability to obtain prior to start
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Experience with sensory integration, therapeutic milieu, and behavioral health interventions preferred
- Comfort facilitating groups and supporting group process for children, tweens, and adolescents
- Strong clinical reasoning and familiarity with standardized pediatric assessments
- High level of self-awareness, adaptability, and patient-centered care approach
- First-time travel therapists are welcome — travel OT positions and travel therapy jobs supported
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy evaluations, individualized treatments, and therapeutic groups for pediatric psychiatric patients (ages 5–18) with diagnoses such as ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, and ODD
- Primary coverage of the inpatient "tween" unit (approximately 12 patients daily) with cross-coverage to adolescent and younger units as needed
- Implement sensory integration strategies, executive functioning supports, and adaptive interventions for daily living and school readiness
- Plan and facilitate group therapy sessions and therapeutic activities that promote self-regulation, social skills, and coping
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary pediatric mental health team including recreation therapists, nurses, clinicians, social workers, and unit management
- Participate in treatment team meetings, weekly treatment plan updates, and discharge planning
- Complete hospital and unit orientation, including safety, de-escalation, self-protection, and restraint training
- Maintain professional appearance (business casual; jeans allowed), closed-toed shoes, and appropriate hair safety
