Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER)

Location: Canton, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Minimum of 18 months recent Emergency Department (ED) experience required.
• Must have 18 months permanent ED experience prior to travel assignment.
• Must hold a permanent Ohio nursing license or a compact state license in hand.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC (all current and in hand).
• Must have experience with Epic electronic health record system.
• One recent professional reference from a manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty is required for submission.
• Must successfully pass ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate competency tests during orientation.
• Must be willing to work at least every other holiday.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio.
• At least 18 months (1.5 years) of recent Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year.
• Current certifications issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
