Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - CVOR

Location: Lebanon, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule & Work Expectations

• Monday through Friday, 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM
• Call every 3rd day
• At least 1 to 2 weekends per month on call
• Holidays as needed
• Must assist in the general OR when no CVOR cases are scheduled (expectation for all staff)
• May care for COVID-19 patients
• Tobacco and fragrance-free facility

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Required Documentation & Compliance

• 7-year criminal background check (including state and nationwide searches)
• Pennsylvania FBI fingerprinting within 1 year of start (results must be on file within 45 days of assignment start)
• Child Abuse History Clearance (PA Childline) within 5 years
• Employment application or most recent resume
• 2 professional references within 3 years
• Skills checklist (annual)
• Performance evaluations completed onsite during assignment
• Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
• Immunizations and health requirements including:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer or full vaccine series)
  • Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption (declinations not accepted)
  • COVID-19 vaccine or valid exemption/declination
• Drug testing: Negative 9-panel within 1 year (specific to agency requirements)
• Respiratory safety clearance within 1 year, renewed annually

Additional Requirements

• Acknowledgement of pass/fail testing (including Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam)
• Photo for badge (professional, passport-style)
• Completion of required facility-specific documents including confidentiality agreements, code of conduct, and health & wellness commitments
• Completion of online learning modules and new hire orientation by specified deadlines

Notes

• Maximum return to office (RTO) time: 7 days
• Floating is not applicable for this role
• Local travel rate considerations apply (not disclosed here)

This position is ideal for experienced Registered Nurses with CVOR expertise who are comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical environment with call responsibilities and weekend coverage. Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
