Qualifications & Certifications (ER RN)

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room / Emergency Department nursing experience (acute care)
• Active Ohio RN license OR current multi-state (Compact) RN license (must be attached to resume)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, and TNCC (American Heart Association or equivalent; certificates must be attached to candidate submission)
• Strong critical thinking, triage, and leadership skills in fast-paced ED settings
• Ability to maintain clinical competencies through continuing education and participate in unit-based training
• Preferred: trauma or critical care experience and familiarity with common ED electronic health record (EHR) systems

Emergency Department (ED) Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to Emergency Room patients using the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
• Perform rapid assessment, triage, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring of acute and critical patients
• Demonstrate sound clinical judgment to anticipate and deliver safe, evidence-based care (including resuscitation and emergency interventions)
• Delegate and prioritize patient care assignments based on staff education and experience; supervise assigned personnel
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and disposition
• Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record, participate in quality improvement activities, and stay current with required competencies
