Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,960 – $2,070
• Location: Geneva, NY 14456 — Finger Lakes / New York travel nursing job
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 25, 2026)
• Shift: Part Time (2x12 hour shifts per week), days or nights as scheduled; every other weekend and holidays required
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse / On-Site Medical-Surgical RN

Minimum Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or RQI only)
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience in a Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) setting as an RN
• Experience with acute care, medication administration, patient assessment, and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality medical-surgical nursing care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients
• Perform thorough patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and adjust interventions based on patient progress
• Administer medications and perform clinical interventions safely and in accordance with hospital policies
• Coordinate care across interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity throughout the patient’s episode
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, medications, self-care, and discharge planning to support recovery beyond hospitalization
• Document nursing care, patient education, and clinical responses accurately in the patient record
• Participate in quality improvement activities and professional self-evaluation to advance nursing practice
• Maintain infection prevention practices and promote a safe, healing environment
