- Position: Mammography Technologist / Mammography Rad Tech (Travel)
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,030 - $2,190
- Location: Durham, NC 27704 — Durham, North Carolina (local and travel mammography jobs)
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 17, 2026)
- Shift: Day shifts, 3x12-hour (07:00 – 19:30)
- Schedule: Wed 7:00am–7:30pm; Thu 7:00am–7:30pm; Fri 7:00am–7:00pm; Sat 7:30am–12:00pm
- Orientation: Mon–Fri, 8:00am–4:30pm during first week; bi-weekly orientations
- Scrub Color: Hot Pink
- Flu Vaccine: Required (no exemptions) — documentation required
- Setting: High-volume hospital mammography department; digital and 3D tomosynthesis
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Mammography Technologist or Radiologic Technologist with mammography experience
- Active ARRT (R) and ARRT (M) certifications required
- MQSA compliance: 40 hours training, 25 supervised mammograms, 8 CEUs in 2D/3D and 15 mammography CEUs in the last 2 years, documentation of 200 mammograms in past 12 months
- BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical record / EPIC charting required
- State compact license or NC license in hand (compact or NC license accepted)
- Flu vaccine documentation required
- First-time travel technologists and local candidates (within 75 miles of Durham) encouraged to apply
- One supervisory reference within the last year required
- Previous charge technologist or community hospital mammography experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms, including 3-D tomosynthesis and digital mammography
- Assist with special procedures: wire/seed localizations, stereotactic biopsies, and DEXA scans
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to adult and geriatric patients
- Maintain accurate documentation and charting in EPIC to ensure quality patient records
- Ensure MQSA and facility compliance for mammography quality standards
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in orientation, ongoing training modules, quality assurance, and departmental meetings
