Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey, or compact state eligibility for NJ
• Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience (Telemetry RN / medical-surgical RN)
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Strong clinical judgment with ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, medication administration, and electronic health record (EHR) documentation

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care on the Med/Surg Tele unit as a travel nurse
• Monitor patient vitals and telemetry, interpret telemetry strips, and respond to acute changes
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies per policy and document care accurately in the EHR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, RRT, case managers) to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment, recovery, and discharge instructions to promote safe transitions of care
• Maintain a safe, supportive environment for patients and staff and adhere to infection control and safety protocols
