Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,860 - $1,960
• Location: Memphis, TN 38104 (Tennessee travel nursing job)
• Setting: Short Term Acute Care — Level I Trauma Center
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
• Shift: Day shift, 12-hour shifts (07:00 – 19:00); 36 or 48 hours/week (schedule may vary)
• Employment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nursing
• Weekend Coverage: As needed
• Orientation: Provided

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years recent cardiac stepdown or related acute care RN experience (3+ years preferred)
• At least 1 completed previous travel assignment (travel nurse experience required)
• Experience in Level I Trauma and large hospital settings
• Active RN license in Tennessee or a valid Compact (NLC) RN license
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required
• Clinical skills: Telemetry, IV start, strong cardiac assessment skills
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Travelers must live at least 100 miles from the facility
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Pending licenses not accepted; must comply with NLC guidelines
• First-time travelers not accepted

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown/telemetry patients requiring close monitoring and observation
• Manage cardiac and pulmonary monitoring using bedside and tele monitoring equipment
• Work in team nursing with typical ratios of 1:6–1:7
• Float between like units and campuses within a 20-mile radius as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to maintain high-quality patient care and satisfaction
• Maintain accurate documentation, adhere to hospital protocols, and meet compliance standards
• Work weekends and holidays as required by contract
