Travel Radiologic Technologist opportunity in Milwaukee, WI — 13-week contract at a Level III Trauma Center with Magnet status and a Primary Stroke Center. Join our team for an evening shift travel assignment in a high-acuity hospital setting.
Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 – $2,280
- Location: Milwaukee, WI 53215 — Milwaukee radiology jobs / Wisconsin travel rad tech
- Setting: Level III Trauma Center, Level III NICU, Primary Stroke Center (Magnet-designated)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 25, 2026)
- Shift: 8-hour evening shifts (40 hours/week) — evening shift radiology
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, every other weekend, one day off during week leading up to work weekend and one day off the week following work weekend
- On-Call: One call shift per week (rotating schedule)
- Holiday: One holiday per contract
- Scrubs: Surgery scrubs provided in-house
- Parking: Free
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of acute care or surgical radiology experience — strong preference for procedural/OR experience
- Active ARRT certification (ARRT (R) required)
- Wisconsin Radiologic Technologist License (must be valid for assignment)
- BLS certification (AHA preferred)
- Demonstrated competence in surgical and procedure radiology, general imaging, and portable X-ray
- Comfortable performing fluoroscopy/fluoro procedures (ERCPs, bronchoscopies, pain clinic cases, urology) and OR cases (ortho, general, spine; o-arm experience preferred)
- Experience with hospital PACS and EMR systems — EPIC EMR, McKesson PACS preferred
- Familiarity with imaging equipment: GE/Fuji/Del Medical X-ray, GE 9900/Elite, Medtronic o-arms
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging (general radiography, portables, and fluoroscopy) for inpatient, outpatient, ED, and procedural patients across all adult and minimal pediatric populations
- Provide high-quality radiologic services in a fast-paced, high-acuity Level III Trauma Center
- Assist with surgical and procedural radiology in the OR and IR suite, including positioning, sterile technique, and radiation safety
- Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment (fixed and portable) and follow equipment-specific protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records using EPIC EMR and PACS systems
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including lead techs, radiologists, surgeons, hospitalists, and intensivists to deliver coordinated care
- Participate in department orientation, ongoing training, and maintain compliance with hospital policies, scheduling, on-call rotations, and holiday coverage
