• Shift: 8-hour day shifts (07:00-15:30)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (eligible for New Hampshire licensure if required)
• Minimum 1 year of PACU or post-anesthesia nursing experience (PACU RN / Post-Anesthesia Care Nurse)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC
• Strong clinical skills in post-anesthesia assessment, airway monitoring, pain management, and rapid patient evaluation
• Experience with perioperative workflows, same-day surgery, and PACU protocols
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia in the OR Same Day Program / PACU
• Monitor patient vital signs, airway status, pain level, and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed; manage IV medications and PCA when applicable
• Collaborate closely with surgical, anesthesia, and perioperative teams to support safe patient recovery and discharge
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care, discharge instructions, and recovery expectations
• Complete accurate and timely documentation, handoffs, and post-anesthesia records
• Support efficient same-day surgery throughput and patient flow in the PACU
