Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,230 - $1,300
- Location: Memphis, TN 38104 (Memphis nursing jobs, Tennessee LPN jobs)
- Setting: Short Term Acute Care, Level I Trauma Center
- Unit: 8 NORTH (Medical Surgical)
- Shift: Night Shift (3x12-Hour, 19:00 - 07:00)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (travel nursing assignment)
- Start Date: April 20, 2026
- Patient Ratio: 1:7 (team nursing with support from PCC, RN, etc.)
- Weekend & On-Call: As needed
- Travelers must live at least 100 miles from the facility
Job Requirements
- IV Certified (firm requirement)
- Active LPN license in Tennessee or compact state (NLC guidelines)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg LPN experience (3+ years preferred)
- At least 1 completed previous travel assignment (travel nursing experience required)
- Level I Trauma experience required
- Large hospital experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS certification preferred
- Experience with telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, starting and maintaining IVs
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
- Pending licenses not accepted
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients on a busy Med/Surg unit
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and more
- Monitor and manage IVs, telemetry, and dysrhythmias
- Participate in team nursing, supporting a patient ratio of 1:7
- Float as needed within similar units
- Maintain accurate documentation and charting
- Adhere to facility policies and compliance requirements
- Be flexible to work weekends and holidays as needed
