Travel Registered Nurse (Telemetry) – Olathe, KS. 13-week travel nursing assignment in a cardiac telemetry unit. Requires 1+ year telemetry experience, active RN license, BLS & ACLS.

Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,870 – $1,970 (travel nursing pay)
• Location: Olathe, KS (66061) – Kansas City metropolitan area
• Unit: Telemetry (Cardiac Unit 4E) – cardiac telemetry RN role
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 4/12/2026
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (06:45 – 19:15)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: As needed based on unit needs
• Floating: Will float to all acute care units (acute care / telemetry flexibility)
• Orientation: Comprehensive multi-day orientation including Epic EMR training

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent telemetry nursing experience required (Telemetry RN / cardiac telemetry)
• Experience with TR Band straight from procedure
• Proficiency with cardiac drips: Heparin, Butamax, Lasix, Cardizem
• Experience with Tikosyn/Sotalol initiation process
• Active RN license (state-appropriate compact license may be acceptable)
• BLS & ACLS certifications
• Ability to float to all acute care units
• Must attend scheduled orientation and training (including Epic)
• Nicotine-free facility policy

Responsibilities

• Monitor and care for patients in the Telemetry unit with a focus on complex cardiac conditions
• Administer and manage cardiac drips and intravenous medications per unit protocols
• Initiate and closely monitor Tikosyn/Sotalol therapy and follow-up assessments
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (cardiology, telemetry techs, physicians, PT/OT) to deliver high-quality patient care
• Float to other acute care units as needed to support patient care
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR (electronic medical record)
• Participate in orientation, ongoing training, and competency validation
• Work every other weekend and holidays as required by unit staffing
