This 13-week travel contract offers the opportunity to work in a bustling community hospital that operates 10 OR suites daily, supporting general, orthopedic, neuro, vascular and specialty surgical cases. • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,320 - $2,440 (competitive travel nursing pay)
• Location: Hagerstown, MD 21742 — Maryland travel nursing jobs
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 13, 2026 – July 13, 2026)
• Shift: Day shift, 5x8-hour (07:00 – 15:30), Monday–Friday; occasional Saturday day shifts
• Hours per Week: 40 (Guaranteed)
• Setting: Operating Room (OR) – perioperative and surgical nursing
• Patient Age Groups: Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• Role Type: Travel nursing, OR nurse, circulating nurse / scrub nurse opportunities

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) experience; heavy Ortho, Neuro, Vascular preferred
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the U.S. (pending license accepted)
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience with Epic electronic charting system required
• Community hospital experience required; previous charge experience preferred
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (no exemptions)

Primary Responsibilities

• Circulate and assist across a broad range of surgical cases: General, Vascular, Orthopedics (including joint cases), Neurosurgery, Urology, Plastics, Bariatric, Laparoscopic, GYN, ENT, and Robotics
• Provide perioperative patient care from pre-op through PACU/post-op for diverse patient populations
• Function as a perioperative team member—collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiology, nursing staff, and ancillary departments
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic and adhere to surgical safety protocols (time-outs, sterile technique)
• Participate in self-scheduling and provide occasional weekend/holiday coverage; float within scope as needed
• Support quality improvement, infection control, and hospital policies while delivering excellent surgical nursing care
