Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,310 – $2,480
• Location: Allegan, MI (49010) — West Michigan travel nursing
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: April 13, 2026
• Shift: Day shifts, 4x9-hour (07:00 – 16:00)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Call / Weekend: No call and no weekend requirement
• Floating: May float to pre/post-op or Beacon Dowagiac for surgical cases on Mondays

Who We’re Looking For (RN / RNFA / Perioperative Nurse)

• Minimum 1 year of RN First Assist (RNFA) experience required
• Registered Nurse license (pending accepted; must apply within 24 hours of offer)
• Required certifications: RNFA, ACLS, BLS
• EPIC charting experience required
• Previous charge experience required; community hospital experience preferred
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to complete up to 8 hours of pre-start onboarding modules

Primary Responsibilities (Operating Room / First Assist / Surgical Nurse)

• Provide RN first assist coverage in the operating room for a variety of surgical cases, including CVOR, ambulatory surgery, acute hospital OR, endoscopy/laparoscopic, and general surgery
• Function as a perioperative nurse and first assistant during complex and routine procedures
• Float to pre-op and post-op units or affiliate hospital sites based on surgical volume and staffing needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including surgeons, anesthesiology, and rapid response teams
• Care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations with professionalism and clinical reliability
• Complete required onboarding and compliance modules prior to start
