Job Opportunity: ICU Registered Nurse
Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- ICU Registered Nurse position with an ASAP start.
- Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each).
- Float and every 3rd weekend required.
- Surgical ICU experience required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland.
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience, including Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) experience within the last year.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross, Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
- Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) certification.
- Successful completion of EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam.
Additional Requirements
- Criminal background check within 90 days, including all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years.
- Drug screen within 90 days of start (does not include marijuana).
- Annual physical exam confirming ability to work without accommodations and free from communicable disease.
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year; annual TB questionnaire required.
- Required immunizations or proof of immunity: MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap (within 10 years preferred).
- N95 Fit Test within 9 months of start, updated annually.
- Completion of facility-specific orientation modules prior to start.
- Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years.
- Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education, employment, license, and contact information.
- Medication/pharmacology competency exams and dysrhythmia/EKG competency exams required within 3 years of start, with minimum passing scores.
Work Environment & Expectations
- Float between units as needed.
- Work every 3rd weekend.
- Night shift hours (1900-0700).
