Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,750 – $2,890
• Location: Hyannis, MA (Cape Cod) — Hyannis 02601
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 25, 2026)
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts (7:00am – 3:30pm), 40 hours/week
• Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday required
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse, On-Site

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent OB / Labor & Delivery (L&D) nursing experience within the past 2 years (OB nurse, L&D RN, perinatal experience)
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA) required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Successful completion of facility pharmacology exam
• Documented fetal monitoring course (Intermediate or Advanced) within past 2 years
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• CPI (Crisis Prevention) certification preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive obstetric nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation (perinatal, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum)
• Perform fetal monitoring, interpret tracings, and document fetal assessment findings
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses, including labor induction/augmentation protocols
• Serve as a resource and preceptor for staff, assist with orientation, and support ancillary personnel
• Maintain accurate, timely computerized nursing documentation and patient records
• Summarize assessment data and initiate individualized plan of care in collaboration with allied health providers
• Demonstrate charge nurse responsibilities as assigned, including unit coordination and triage
• Provide patient and family education on labor, delivery, postpartum care, and newborn care
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and compliance with blood/body fluid policies
• Maintain ongoing professional development and stay current on L&D clinical practices and regulations
• Represent the hospital professionally in the community and maintain patient confidentiality
• Deliver service excellence to patients, families, visitors, volunteers, and co-workers
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
