Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,500 – $2,630
• Location: Ithaca, NY 14850 (Ithaca healthcare opportunity / New York nursing job)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
• Shift: Day shifts, 8 hours per day (schedule: 5x8 or 4x10 with Tuesday or Wednesday off)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Setting: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) — critical care, nurse manager role

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state of practice)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU bedside nursing experience; critical care experience preferred
• At least 1 year of recent leadership experience (team lead, assistant manager, manager, or nurse leader)
• ACLS Certification (required)
• BLS Certification (required)
• NIHSS Certification (required)
• Experience with Epic EMR (electronic medical record) and clinical documentation

Responsibilities

• Manage staffing, scheduling, and productivity for ICU nursing staff to ensure quality patient care
• Oversee timekeeping, attendance, education, and performance accountability for the unit
• Conduct incident reporting follow-ups, investigations, and implement corrective actions
• Lead human resources objectives: review applicants, interview, onboard, coach, counsel, and discipline as needed
• Perform patient, staff, and unit rounding to ensure compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies
• Monitor and respond to situations affecting daily ICU operations and patient flow
