ICU Nurse Manager (RN) – Travel Assignment in Ithaca, NY | 13-week critical care leadership role (ACLS/BLS required). Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,500 – $2,630
- Location: Ithaca, NY 14850 (Ithaca healthcare opportunity / New York nursing job)
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
- Shift: Day shifts, 8 hours per day (schedule: 5x8 or 4x10 with Tuesday or Wednesday off)
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Setting: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) — critical care, nurse manager role
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state of practice)
- Minimum 2 years of ICU bedside nursing experience; critical care experience preferred
- At least 1 year of recent leadership experience (team lead, assistant manager, manager, or nurse leader)
- ACLS Certification (required)
- BLS Certification (required)
- NIHSS Certification (required)
- Experience with Epic EMR (electronic medical record) and clinical documentation
Responsibilities
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and productivity for ICU nursing staff to ensure quality patient care
- Oversee timekeeping, attendance, education, and performance accountability for the unit
- Conduct incident reporting follow-ups, investigations, and implement corrective actions
- Lead human resources objectives: review applicants, interview, onboard, coach, counsel, and discipline as needed
- Perform patient, staff, and unit rounding to ensure compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies
- Monitor and respond to situations affecting daily ICU operations and patient flow
