Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,930 – $2,030
• Location: Philadelphia, PA 19140 – Philadelphia healthcare job in a lively urban setting with easy access to museums, parks, and public transit
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 19, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour days (07:00 – 19:30), 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse, On-Site (Travel Contract)

Qualifications – ER RN / Travel Nurse Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent inpatient medical-surgical experience
• Active RN license (Pennsylvania)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Strong inpatient clinical skills, including IV medications and basic telemetry monitoring
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic Emergency Department environment

Responsibilities – Emergency Department RN Duties

• Provide inpatient-level nursing care to admitted patients boarding in the Emergency Department while they await transfer to an inpatient bed
• Support patient safety, throughput, and continuity of care during periods of high hospital census
• Manage a patient assignment of up to 4 patients (4:1 ratio), including telemetry monitoring, IV medication administration, post-procedural care, and general medical-surgical needs
• Collaborate closely with ED physicians, hospitalists, ICU teams, and inpatient services to coordinate care
• Maintain clear, timely communication with interdisciplinary teams and document care accurately
• Demonstrate flexibility, teamwork, and adherence to departmental protocols and patient safety standards
• Remain within the ED boarder care model; may be required to temporarily provide care in another unit within clinical competency if departmental needs change
