• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 13, 2026 – July 13, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7P–7A)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Unit: 12-bed Labor & Delivery unit, Gulf Coast Division
• Weekend Requirement: 4 shifts per 4-week schedule period

Qualifications & Job Requirements

• Active RN license in the United States (state license required for assignment)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery (L&D) / obstetric nursing experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, IFM
• Experience with fetal monitoring and maternal-newborn care
• Familiarity with Baxter IV pumps and GE fetal monitoring preferred
• EMR experience (CPN, Meditech) is a plus — strong documentation skills required
• Outgoing, eager, and confident team-player personality
• Royal Blue scrubs required on unit

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive laboring mother and newborn care, including routine assessments and maternal-newborn support
• Perform fetal monitoring, vital signs, finger sticks, and other clinical assessments
• Maintain patient ratios of approximately 3–4 patients per RN as required by unit staffing
• Collaborate with experienced RNs, new grads, physicians, and multidisciplinary maternal-child teams
• Float as needed to Ambulatory Procedure Unit (APU) and Postpartum units to support patient flow
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation in EMR systems (CPN, Meditech) following unit policies
• Adhere to unit guidelines, infection control, and hospital policies for safe patient care
